Day 2: Šipan to Ston (Pelješac Peninsula) (10 NM)

Start your day exploring the serene bays of the Dubrovnik archipelago and the Elaphiti Islands. Then, continue your journey to the quaint town of Ston on the Pelješac Peninsula, home to the second-largest fortification walls in the world and Europe’s oldest saltworks. Day 3: Ston to Polače, Mljet (22 NM)

Wander through Korčula Old Town, a medieval walled city with towers, historic buildings, cozy cafés, restaurants, galleries, and more.

 

Day 6: Korčula to Saplunara Bay, Mljet (33 NM)

Sail along the coast of Mljet, with stops at some of the island’s most inviting swimming spots, before anchoring in the southern cove of Saplunara. Enjoy a meal at a charming local restaurant and spend the night on a mooring buoy in one of South Dalmatia’s most popular anchorages. The bay is particularly family-friendly, with 15 mooring buoys available and several local markets nearby.

 

Day 7: Mljet to Dubrovnik (16 NM)

On your final day, make a few leisurely stops for swimming around the Elaphiti Islands, including Lopud and Koločep, before returning to Dubrovnik to conclude your journey.

Both spots are well-sheltered and offer a tranquil start to your journey. Tip: Don’t miss visiting Zlatni Rat, one of Croatia’s most iconic beaches.

Day 2: Brač to Vis (20 NM)

After a restful night and perhaps a quick morning swim, set sail for the island of Vis, approximately 20 nautical miles away. Your destination is Komiža, a picturesque village on the western coast of Vis, nestled between the Adriatic’s deep blue waters and the slopes of Mount Hum. Moor at the harbour quay or on one of the buoys in front of the village. If the winds are strong, the town of Vis offers additional mooring options. For a swim, visit the nearby Gusarica beach or Bajcizevo. Komiža, a historic fishing port, is the perfect place to enjoy traditional seafood at the Konobas Barba or BAKO, located along the Ribarska promenade.

Day 3: Vis to Lastovo (35 NM)

From Vis, continue south to the less-traveled island of Lastovo, a true hidden gem of Croatia. It’s about 35 nautical miles to Lastovo, where you can anchor for the night in the Bay of Zaklopatica or in the Bay of Skrivena Luka, which has a small private marina. Lastovo, also known as the “Imperial Island,” is ideal for a peaceful hike through small villages surrounded by lush green hills. The island, along with its surrounding archipelago of over 40 smaller islets, exudes classic Mediterranean charm, making it a perfect spot for a serene and off-the-beaten-path experience.

Day 4: Lastovo to Korčula (20 NM)

Continue your journey back towards Split with a stop at Hvar, one of Croatia’s most popular islands. The 32-nautical-mile route offers some of the most scenic sailing in the region. Upon arrival, we recommend mooring at Marina Palmižana on a small nearby island, from where you can take a water taxi to Hvar’s main island until 11 pm. Alternatively, anchor in the bay of Vinogradišče or among the Pakleni Islands. Hvar is famous for its wine, lavender fields, and vibrant nightlife, but it also offers family-friendly activities like farm visits and beach days.

Day 6: Hvar to Stari Grad (15 NM)

A short, relaxing 15-nautical-mile sail will bring you to Stari Grad, a quiet town on the island of Hvar. Located in a long, forest-lined bay, Stari Grad offers mooring right in front of the town hall. Wander through the charming medieval city center with its quaint shops and taverns. Stari Grad is known for its tranquility, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a quiet evening with a glass of local red wine. Don’t miss visiting the UNESCO-listed southern part of Stari Grad, where you can explore vineyards, orchards, and ancient Greek ruins.

Day 7: Stari Grad to Split (24 NM)

On your final day, sail 24 nautical miles back to Split, enjoying stunning views of the Dalmatian coast along the way.
